Economically efficient biogas production from manure and biomass

The BIOMAN project develops a concept that increases the biogas potential from second-generation non-food biomass and organic waste by developing a new concept: the “re-injection circuit”. In this circuit, the recalcitrant fibers (hardly degradable) are separated from the digestate and treated by several technologies (physical and enzymatic) in order to make them more degradable before re-injection in the anaerobic digester for biogas production.
